Surf Solutions coaching weekend

Costa Del Sud sendoff for the young buggz

Canny fun shred water for the young surfers today. When a load of Cornwall was red flagged due to huge winds and ming-moss conditions it was great to be able to get to work in some clean conditions. Vid to follow. Congrats to all involved - surfers and parents. Next 12 and under's training is week beginning 29th August.

Results are limitless when stoke is flowing with JAZZ HANDS

IMG_2373Six 12 and unders from North Devon, London and Wales took on the slightly ugly Atlantic Ocean today. I reckon we nailed the best spot on the coast though and the young bugs took to the drills, constant action and inputs with their own constant stoke and enthusiasm. There is no finer ingredient to success. Seen below ready for the patented Surf Solutions' Jazz Hands drill are: Cieran Hughes, Jack Unsworth, Freedom Wall, Gabriel Ley, Storm Ley and Seth Hughes. Class.

WOOLACOMBE followed their victory in the Devon Junior Ocean Championships by winning the nipper version at Saunton Sands on Sunday.
One hundred and eight younger surf lifesavers from Woolacombe, Saunton, Croyde and Bideford Bay took part.
The championships started with a 1km run and four hours of sea events followed, including swimming, board paddling and relay races.
Jack Unsworth was the standout performer for Woolacombe, winning gold in every individual and team event he entered.
Jack's team finished ahead in the sea events, while Saunton were best on the beach.
But it was not enough to overhaul Woolacombe who finished 100 points clear.
Bideford Bay were proud to win 49 medals.
